About the event

CUSEAS is exceptionally fortunate to have Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, former politician and leader of Thailand’s Future Forward party, join us next Tuesday.  Under his leadership, the Future Forward party ran on a reformist platform and energised political interest amongst the Thai youth, paving the way for its successor Move Forward party to win in Thailand’s most recent election 2023.  Drawing from his experience as a key opposition leader and in a year with numerous elections throughout the globe, Thanathorn will share some insights on what might be in store for the state of democracy in Southeast Asia, among other topics in a wide-ranging, moderated conversation.
